Značenie tvrdosti grafitových ceruziek
Európsky systém používa kombináciu písmen H (hard) tvrdý, F (firm) pevný a B (black) mäkký.
Najmäkšia tuha je 9B a najtvrdšia je 9H (čím väčšie číslo - tým väčšia mäkkosť alebo tvrdosť).
Tvrdosť tuhy určuje podiel grafitu a ílu. Čím viac je ílu primiešaného, tým je tuha tvrdšia.
V obchodoch môžete taktiež naraziť na označenie ceruziek 1, 2 a 3, ide o tri najpoužívanejšie tuhy pre školákov.
Ceruzka č. 1 odpovedá tuhe B, ceruzka č. 2 tuhe HB a č. 3 označuje tuhu H.
Jednotka a dvojka sú určené na písanie a kreslenie, trojka je tzv. rysovacou ceruzkou.
